A final year student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abdulrahmon Olumide Olayemi has been reported dead following a brief illness.

Olayemi ‎who is scheduled to complete his HND programme by November was said to have died on Tuesday, May 23rd, barely a week after falling ill for unknown reasons. He was buried at his Ibese hometown, Ilaro on the same day.


Olayemi, before his death was an HND II of the department of Building Technology and one of his department’s representatives at the Students’ Representative Council (SRC).

He had resigned his position as the Welfare Director of National Association of Building Technology Students (NAOBS) to represent them at the SRC inaugurated in March.

NAOBS president, Biola Emmanuel told Press Club MAPOLY Olayemi was one of the best students in his department with the leading grade.

‎Emmanuel who claimed to be Olayemi’s roommate said he had lost a very good friend and shall always be remembered.
